Philippine Veterans Bank (PVB) and Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) recently inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) - covering the MOA is the servicing of PVAO pensions of its pensioners through the ATM/Debit/Cash Card facility.
The service is introduced by PVAO as a pension payment program via the Bank Remittance Program (BRP) to facilitate the delivery of pension benefits directly to veterans and claimants.
Claimants may get their monthly pensions via the Bankís 24-hour ATM service through all Megalink, ExpressNet and Bancnet ATMs nationwide.
Pensioners will be advised to open an ATM Debit / Cash Card account in their respective PVB branch.
The account will be activated for six (6) months and is subjected to reactivation.
The pensioner is required to appear before PVB for reactivation of the account and the branch is of the opinion that the pensioner possesses the physical and mental capacity to operate the ATM account.
For veterans who are not capable of handling an ATM account, a courier service is also provided by PVB as another pension remittance facility.
Implemented last October, veterans may have their cash delivered to their residence via the courier service.
This facility also helps pensioners to save money from cost of transportation, food and fees for the SPA representatives.
Interested pensioners can inquire and enroll, for the ATM Debit/Cash Card and courier service in any of the 45 PVB branches nationwide.
The required minimum maintaining balance is only One Hundred Pesos (P100) for the individual pensionerís ATM Debit/Cash Card account and a fee of One Hundred Pesos (P100) for courier delivery service.
