CSR Projects
In 2016, Philippine Veterans Bank (PVB) embarked on a rebranding campaign including a new branch design with a modern look. What sets PVB branches apart is the History Wall, a tribute to the Bank’s owners: 385,000 World War II heroes; men and women whose love for country, bravery and sacrifice shone in the dark days of WWII.
The objective is to share and preserve many untold WWII tales of Filipino heroism by the Bank’s shareholders, which inspire nationalism and portray the Filipino at his best.
While the History Wall features vintage photos and text of national WWII events (1941-1945), a section shares local WWII history where the branch is located, making each Wall unique. There are also lobby display cases with WWII artifacts. Intended audiences include veterans, clients, teachers, students, historians and media.
Presently, 29 of 60 branches have History Walls, with 6 branches installed September 2017 to October 2018.
PVB’s History Wall garnered a Silver Anvil for the Bank in the 54th Anvil Awards presented by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP).
